The "Gossipy-Sleep" Magazine

So I bought the latest 8 Days with Mediacorp's sex icon - Fiona Xie clearly standing out from her fellow artiste counterparts. Not that I am a conservative person but I must admit I am impressed with how bold 8 Days went to feature such a suggestive cover on their so-called "family entertainment" magazine. Right, more like tabloid.

But just when I was about to sing praises of 8 Days and their team of editors, I just had to come across....

THIS. This New York Magazine was out in April'08!

And Mediacorp's plagarism boo-boo is kinda ironic? Erm...with the plagarism queen on the cover.

Well, if you get what I mean.

Ooops. Said too much.

OH MY GOD.

I want to tell you something.

I AM FEELING VERY RESTLESS.

I had to say no to ECP on Sunday with the bunch.

I cannot leave the house because of my hamster-ish bloated face.

I cannot chew, cannot taste and now I am about to evaporate into thin air.

I can tell you what's on every channel on TV and read out the current affairs on the news print.

I am BORED TO DEATH.

And I want to savour a yummylicious chocolate cake or Cedele's carrot cake NOW! NOW! NOW!

Toys. Not Boys. Haha.

The last time I was a character fanatic was during my early secondary school days. I went crazy over this yellow duck called Piyo Piyo. And everytime, during birthday celebrations in school, I would receive LOADS of Piyo Piyo merchandise. From pencil boxes to coin banks to notepad etc. I still remember in the late 90's, Suntec City had this huge store full of Piyo Piyo stuffs and I would literally go gila just by browsing.

Mind you, I even carried a Piyo Piyo FURRY-ISH bag to school. Yes, THAT was how crazy I was over this yellow creature.

Piyo Piyo

Ever since the Piyo Piyo craze, I stopped all these liking for anything too cute, commercialized, mass product stuffs. I think the only toy I last bought during my last few years as a teenager was a Tamagotchi.

But recently, this fuzzy, befuddled brown mascot of Tokyo television station NHK caught my attention!

I am in the midst of nursing a wisdom tooth surgery and was randomly TV-surfing and got myself hooked at this 30 seconds animation on Kids Central.

Bloody cute CAN.

So I wiki-ed and found out everything about Domo (どーもくん, Dōmo-kun)

Apparently, Domo-kun is HUGE in the States and started airing in Singapore only in early 2008.

Anyway, here's how Domo was born :

I am currently looking for the original NKH certified merchandise in Sg and I bet I would resort to ebay in the end. So if anyone of you knows where to get Domo and his friends, please let me know!

Awwww.

Diana heart Domo.

Sha la la

I totally forgot that my blog existed for the past week.

Kidding.

Was too caught up with catching The Beijing Olympics (yes, cheering la la-ing for Singapore's very first medal since we gained independence), and of course, not forgetting The Olympian of all time, Michael Phelphs aka Gold Phish(in my context). Oh, and the National Day Rally too. Anyways, more about history making Olympics in days to come. Very much in anticipation for the grand closing ceremony.

So, what was I busy busy busy with these few days?

Work definitely and something new.

Oh did I say that I was sms-stalked? It's freaking scary. So, if you happen to be Mr. 98428XXX, please don't be such a wuss about your identity and don't give me bull crap about not being able to face me/only want to be there for me/wants me to know of your existance etc.

Right. Point across.

**
I have been catching Tuesday Comedy Night on 5. SUPER FUNNY CAN!!!

I was so engrossed with their clever jokes, I woke my feverish sister up and got blared at for laughing like some siao ting tong.

I LOVE BOTH THE SITCOM. A MUST WATCH IF YOU'RE A SINGAPOREN.

Support local comedy! Hah.

Ciao for now. =)

Don’t throw away tomorrow by reaching back for yesterday.

Blinded by the Skies.

-photo taken from singaporeskies

Yes, this is the captivating view that kept me in awe.

My Singapore, My Homeland. =D

**
I was young but I wasn't naive
I watched helpless as you turned around to leave
And still I have the pain I have to carry
A past so deep that even you could not bury if you tried

After all this time
I never thought we'd be here
Never thought we'd be here
When my love for you was blind
But I couldn't make you see it
Couldn't make you see it
That I loved you more than you'll ever know
A part of me died when I let you go

A little note

My Friday ended with good news that made me smile throughout the whole weekend.

So I caught the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony and our 43rd National Day on TV.

Super impressed with China's World class hospitality, their "Bird Nest Stadium" and our very own Black Knight's in the air (yup, if you caught the NDP, that particular heart-shape display with Lifehouse's-Blind mesmerizing the floating platform in awe.)

*yum. Having durians now while watching Yao Ming vs James Lebon.

Very lazy to blog now.

Shall continue with the Beijing Olympics marathon.

Hee.

More good news tomorrow and a very cute monster!!!

On Men (Part I)

I am so disgusted with a recent sms spat with a friend.

Initially, the sms started off as "hey how are you doing?" blah blah.

Then, the friend asked me if I was free to hang out and do photo shooting with him. I did mention to him previously that I would love to go around Singapore and capture great shots.

After a few texts about great places to go shooting, out of the blue, he asked about my current status and I told him that I am contented with what I have now. Then, he said "So now that you are single, do I stand a chance?"

Upon reading that sms, I fired him back and said, "huh?? I thought you are attached? why the hell did you ask that?"

He then confessed that he was currently having relationship problems with his current girlfriend. He even bitched that once a woman gets too demanding, things get out of hand.

I mean seriously, why do men love to run away from their soured relationship and start finding a replacement? Is it so hard to mend things up or do they get sick and tired easily? And in that friend's case, we are talking about a 3 year relationship can! Imagine how heart-broken the other party will feel when she finds out that her guy is saying all these stuffs behind her back.

Naturally, I got pissed with his nonsense and shot him back with a long text on the above. He even had the audacity to reply this : "Relax sweetheart, I just wanted to know if I still have a chance with you..."

By the way, I just checked his facebook profile status and it shows that he is still attached!!!

What the fuck. I cannot believe this had to happen to me the second time with the same guy and yes, the same girlfriend.

OH, MEN.

The 7th Month.

It's the start of the Chinese Hungry Ghost Festival.

Kinda made me realise how time passes in a blink of an eye. One festival after another. In no time, I'll be 24.

I'm off work today and tomorrow, thus, decided to drop by Shenton way for lunch with Shifu and Lei lei. Gosh, walking around Shenton way in havaianas and slack proves to be a chore. Everyone around me was nicely dressed(despite it being a Friday).

Lunch was short and sweet and very humid(WEATHER WAS TERRIBLY HOT!!!)

Right.

I'm gonna finish up the previous 2 episodes of Beach Ball Babes on Mob.TV,then I'm gonna go for a jog before the sky turns dark and....

BOOO~!!!
