Broken Strings

On rainy days like today, I get emo...

Love the lyrics.

**
You can't play on broken strings
You can't feel anything that your heart don't want to feel
I cant tell you something that ain't real

Well truth hurts,
And lies worse
How can I give anymore
When I love you a little less than before

Let me hold you for the last time
It's the last chance to feel again

- Broken Strings by James Morrison ft. Nelly Furtado

TFIG again.

Today I lunch alone. No, am not a loner. Just not craving for any company.

And here am I after a quick nasi padang meal, typing away at Red Dot's Pacific Coffee (yes of course, sipping away my favourite Hazelnut Latte). I love the vibe this particular coffee joint brings me.

Cozy. Pleasant. Surreal.

I just read this earlier. Like what the hell?

Are our undergrads/young adults really facing so much stress that they are doing crazy stuffs right now? Stabbing the lecturer, sucide by jumping down, hanging themselves, running around stark naked etc.

Okay, it's 1250hrs now. Have to get back to reality.

I'm logging off.

Later. =)

Peek-a-boo

So we celebrated Dad's 55th Birthday dining at *Carousel*(click)

Just some very recent pictures of me with my new DIY fringe. Damn ugly right? Gosh I so totally regret it now. I miss my long hair and I am glad hair actually grows pretty fast. =)

Yup. Me and my two sisters.

It's finally Friday and I'm feeling spaced out now.

Will be celebrating Reena's birthday at Breeks after work later and yes, sooOOoo looking forward to KTV with the sec sch peeps come Saturday. I need a singing session breather. My mind's kinda bogged down now thinking of a mountain of stuffs.

Stuffs including :

Plan B if uni rejects me. But what is Plan B?
Should I do what my heart tells me to do or do what the mind says : the right thing?
Perth in April or June?
Should I wrap Reena's gift after I wash off my mask or should I dig for clothes to wear tomorrow?
LG Ice-cream Phone or Juicy Couture's Sidekick II or Nokia E71 or Blackberry?
Gym on Sunday?
What's for tomorrow's breakfast? Or maybe I should have Ham&Cheese crossiant from BK for lunch so I can read my book and munch at the same time.
Cooking class or Baking class?

See, my mind's messed up pretty bad. I admit I lack organization skills in the grey matter up there. I can imagine if my mind was a map, you'd be lost trying to get out. You know I can be thinking of so many things at one shot I'll end up forgetting what was initially important in the first place.

I think my pessimistic self is taking a toll on my emotionally abused mind.

At times, my head feels like exploding into a million pieces;

And sometimes, my heart aches...

I feel insecure and I don't know why.

Tired.

What hurts the most
Is being so close
And having so much to say
And watching you walk away
And never knowing
What could have been
And not seeing that loving you
Is what I was trying to do

Hotel 626

On a regular moonless Sunday night I decided to scare myself silly/shitless by attempting an online horror game.

Minutes before playing the game...

Reviews claim - It's THE SCARIEST PLACE on the internet.

GAME AT YOUR DISCREET.

Check yourself in at HOTEL626.

//updates

My sister was back in time just as I was about to check in the hotel.

So we played the game in darkness.. sang a lullaby to a demon baby and bimbotic me turned the wrong way and got engulfed by the dark shadows.

I REPEAT,

NOT FOR THE FAINT-HEARTED.

Just blah-ing.

Haha! I told him Sg's pretty awesome and he'll never get bored here. So random la. I don't even know him.

Oh, and I cut my own fringe earlier and totally regretting it now. damn.

I am planning for The Book Club now in paper and pen.

The A-Levels' result were out yesterday and the '09 cohort did better than last year. I'm worried now because I don't have a Plan B for my uni application. Shit.

My Origins face mask is cracking but I'm too lazy to walk out of my bed now to wash it off.

Looking forward to KTV with the sec school bunch next week. Missed them since CNY.

A good friend has recently set her eyes on a potential partner after rejecting so many suitors. WAYYY TO GO BABE. It's the first time I heard her gush excitedly about a guy. Hee. =)

I need to plan for Perth soon.

My mask is still cracking.

My sister is playing Through the Monsoon on GHWT now and I feel like joining her but I'm too lazy to climb down the stairs.

I'm just ssOOOOoooo freaking lazy now.

And my excuse for whining?

PERIOD. Period.

running through the monsoon
beyond the world
to the end of time
where the rain won't hurt
fighting the storm
into the blue
and when I loose myself I think of you
together we'll be running somewhere new

just me and you

A Spanish Teacher was explaining to her class that in Spanish, unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine.

'House' for instance, is feminine: "la casa."
'Pencil' however, is masculine: "el lapiz."

A student asked, "What gender is 'computer'?"

Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves whether "computer" should be a masculine or a feminine noun. Each group was asked to give four reasons for its recommendation.

The men's group, however, decided that computer should definitely be feminine ("la computadora"), because:

1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic.
2. The language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else.
3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later retrieval.
4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.

(THIS GETS BETTER!)

The women's group concluded that computer should be masculine ("el computador"), because:

1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on.
2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves.
3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem.
4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have had a better model.

THE WOMEN WON.

HAH.

I like this song.

Every time i think of you
I get a shot right through into a bolt of blue
It's no problem of mine, but it's a problem i find
Living a life that i can't leave behind

Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably..
And never regret anything that made you smile.
